Office Administrator – Ontario
Part-time position (Paris, ON)
Alpha Ministries Canada, a national Christian non-profit organization with its national office in New Westminster, BC, seeks an experienced, organized, personable self-starter who loves administration to work in Ontario with our team in the region.
Alpha has an exciting opportunity for an individual to be at the forefront in supporting the vision and mission of Alpha Canada in Ontario. Reporting to the Ontario Regional Director, the administrator will see to the execution of a variety of strategic objectives that will help enable the Church in the region to fulfill its mission of evangelization.
At the core, the Ontario Administrator will be someone that has a deep calling from God to support others in a spirit of servanthood. We need someone who can thrive under structure, effectively communicate, and display joy, positive energy and encouragement to both the staff and to those who need assistance regarding Alpha courses, resources and events.
The best fit for this role is someone with the capability to manage many projects and be very adept at communicating expectations, deadlines and options effectively. A person with an attention to detail, anticipation of needs, time management and excellent administration skills will do well in this position. You will need to have a post secondary certificate or degree and related executive assistance experience of 2 years in an office environment.
Strengths should include a high level of MS Office skills, written and verbal communication and knowledge of databases/CRM. Event coordination and customer service experience would be an asset. It will be helpful to the region and the organization if you are bilingual in English/French. Alpha Canada seeks a person with a passion for evangelism and a comprehensive understanding of the Alpha course. Responsibilities (what you get to do):
- Support and coordinate calendar for speaking or training events
- Prepare travel needs and agendas
- Humbly serve, engage, train and proactively pray with leaders about their Alphas
- Be the first point of contact for email/phone correspondence
- Maintain key contact lists and associations through our CRM
- Be highly relational and communicative with staff
- Setting and keeping of deadlines and meeting preparation
- Listen to and collect Alpha stories
