The Student Leadership Collective is built around local churches. But the fastest path to reaching churches we don’t yet know is through the leaders who already have their trust.
When a denomination director, regional superintendent, or network leader champions SLC – through a newsletter, a gathering, or a single conversation – it opens doors that no digital campaign can.
You already have influence. We’re asking you to consider using it.
What You’re Championing
SLC is a six-month, church-rooted leadership journey for Grade 10 students. It equips them to grow in courage and faith, and to bring Alpha into their schools.
It is not a parachurch replacement for local ministry. It is a tool in the hands of the local church – designed to strengthen what churches are already doing, not compete with it.
Students remain fully integrated into their church communities throughout the year. Mentors come from within those churches. And every student trio is accountable to their local pastor or youth leader.

What Partnership Looks Like
We’re not asking for an official endorsement or organizational commitment. We’re asking for a conversation.
From that conversation, the most natural next steps are usually one of these:
A mention in your network newsletter or communications
An introduction to 3-5 youth pastors who might be a strong fit
A few minutes at a regional gathering or youth workers’ event
A shared link that gives your pastors a direct path to learn more
That’s it! We do the rest.
The Opportunity in Your Network
In 2027, our goal is to grow SLC to 400 students from churches across Canada.
Every province and territory represented, but the depth of participation in any given denomination or region depends almost entirely on whether someone with relational trust has opened the door.
SLC is designed to serve all contexts, the trio model works in a church of 20 students just as well as a church of 200. Your network may include exactly the churches we most want to reach.
Geographic Priorities (2027)
We are actively seeking stronger participation from churches in:
Manitoba
Prince Edward Island
French-language Catholic and mainline congregations
