Why This Year Matters
Grade 10 is a formative year.
Students are forming identity. Influence among peers deepens. Confidence and calling begin to take shape.
The Student Leadership Collective (SLC) exists to intentionally form students during this window – helping them grow in courage, spiritual maturity, and leadership, as they learn to share the good news of Jesus.
This isn’t about adding pressure. It’s about guiding growth.
Who Walks With Them?
SLC is not an independent leadership program.
It is rooted in the local church.
Every student participates in a trio:
  • Two Grade 10 students from the same school
  • One mentor from their church
This ensures:
  • Consistent spiritual support
  • Adult oversight
  • Shared responsibility
  • Ongoing encouragement
Students are never asked to lead alone or outside of church accountability.
What the SLC Involves
We know families are busy.
SLC is meaningful but manageable.
Throughout the 6 month period, students will participate by:
  • Connecting with their trio (their friend and their mentor)
  • Meeting with their pod (their trio plus a few more)
  • Joining an online session each month with everyone
  • Attending one in-person gathering over a weekend
  • Planning and running Alpha in their school
The rhythm is consistent but manageable, around 3 hours a month.
Most families find it integrates naturally with youth ministry, school, sports, and other commitments.

What Will My Teen Gain?
Students grown in:
  • Confidence in sharing the good news of Jesus
  • Relational leadership skills
  • Courage in conversations
  • Spiritual depth and maturity
SLC is designed to serve all contexts, the trio model works in a church of 20 students just as well as a church of 200. Your network may include exactly the churches we most want to reach.
